TALVENTUOJA on lyhytelokuva, jossa 10 vuotias poika saa suuren vastuun; hänen täytyy heittää kylmä kivi järveen jotta talvi voi saapua maailmaan. Perustuu siis suomalaiseen sananlaskuun 'Jaakko heittää kylmän kiven'. Toimin elokuvassa käsikirjoittajana ja ohjaajana, ja työn pohjalta kirjoitan opinnäytetyöni jossa tutkin lapsen ohjaamista. Elokuvan alustava valmistumisaika on keväällä 2015.

TALVENTUOJA is a short movie about a 10 years old boy who gets a great responsibility of throwing a cold stone to the lake so the winter may come to the world. This story is based on finnish proverb "Jaakko throws the cold stone". I wrote this story and I was also a director. This is also a part of my bachelors thesis where I investigate how to direct a child. The movie should be out in spring 2015. 

EN IRROTA (2014)

EN IRROTA pyörähti käyntiin syksyllä 2012 ja se kulki uljaasti työnimellä Keijo. Ensi-iltansa elokuva sai 7.2.2014! Tarina kertoo pojasta, joka haluaa riskejä kaihtamatta löytää totuuden menneisyydestään. Olin elokuvassa ohjaajan roolissa ja vaikka olen ohjannut muutaman lyhärin ennen tätä, koen tämän ns. esikoisekseni. Yritämme tuottajien kanssa saada elokuvan Euroopan elokuvafestareille ja siitä syystä videolinkki ilmestyy tänne vasta myöhemmin!

EN IRROTA (no translation yet) began fall 2012 and at that time we called it Keijo (it's finnish name for men and somehow it came to stay..). Its premiere were at 7th february 2014. The story is all about a boy who wants to find out what really happened in his past. I directed this short movie and even though I have directed a few shorties by now I still think this is my first born. What happens next is that we're going to send this shortie to some European film festivals and hope for the best. After festivals I'll give you the youtube link so you can watch this one! (or you can go to film festivals to see it..)

SAMA MIES (2014)

SAMA MIES on lyhytelokuva, joka kertoo prosopagnosiasta eli kasvosokeudesta kärsivästä John Smithistä. Elokuva saa ensi-iltansa Tampere-talolla 17.2.2014. Tämä elokuva oli osa yhtä TAMK:n elokuva - ja tv-linjan kurssia ja siitä leikattiin myös täysin erilainen mainos Tampereesta. Asiakkaanamme oli Tampere Convetion Bureu, joka järjestää kongresseja Tampereelle. Tässäkin elokuvassa toimin ohjaajana ja koska mainitsin En irrota-elokuvan yhteydessä sen työnimen olleen Keijo, mainitsen myös tässä että Sama mies kulki alunalkaen työnimellä Risto.

SAMA MIES (The Same man?) is a short movie which tells a story of John Smith who has prosopagnosia so he suffers face blindness. Premiere is in Tampere-talo at 17th february 2014. This short movie was made in one course of film and television programme and we also edited a commercial of Tampere from the material we shot. Our costumer was Tampere Convetion Bureu. I directed this film also and because I told you the project name of En irrota (which was Keijo) I can also say that this films project name was Risto (which is also finnish name for men).

TAISTELU TOHTORI PRETORIUKSEN KABINETISTA 1918 on zombilyhytelokuva, joka sijoittuu vuoden 1918 Suomeen. Tässä elokuvassa toimin maskeeraajana ja tein käytännössä kolme tai neljä zombia sekä lukuisia ruhjeita. Elokuva sai ensi-iltansa elokuussa 2014.

TAISTELU TOHTORI PRETORIUKSEN KABINETISTA 1918 (The Battle of doctor Pretorius's cabinet 1918) is a short movie about zombies and it is places on Finland at 1918. In this movie I was a make up artist and I made masks for three or four different zombies and also a lot of different lacerations. The premiere was in august 2014.

MUISTATKO (2012)

MUISTATKO (2012) on lyhytelokuva vanhasta naisesta, joka sairastaa muistisairautta. Ajatuksissaan hän on edelleen lapsi, joka palaa synnyinkotiinsa vaikka todellisuus onkin jotain aivan muuta.
Tämä elokuva oli kouluharjoituksemme ja toimin siinä sekä puvustajana, rekvisitöörinä että äänisuunnittelijana. Meitä oli kaksi ihmistä tekemässä puvustajan ja rekvin puolta ja kolme tekemässä ääniä. Valitettavasti elokuva ei ole ainakaan vielä näkyvillä missään päin nettiä, mutta toivottavasti asia on vielä joskus toinen. Jos niin käy, lisään videon tänne.

MUISTATKO (Remember?) (2012) is a short movie about an old woman who has dementia. In her mind she's still a little child who returns to her childhood home even the reality is something else.
This movie was one of our first year practical works at school and I was responsible about costumes and props with a friend. And I was a sound designer with two other guys. Unfortunately this movie is not availeble on internet yet but I really hope it will be someday. If it will, I will add it here!

KULTAMARJA (2011)

KULTAMARJA (2011) on ensimmäinen TAMKissa tehty lyhytelokuva, joka tehtiin samassa hengessä Clichén kanssa; se oli myös harjoitustyö, jossa ideana oli tehdä kaikki itse. Niinpä minä taas tuotin, ohjasin, kuvasin, leikkasin jne. Ja tein elokuvassa nähtävän bodypaintingin.
Kultamarjan idea lähti J.R.R. Tolkienin Taru Sormusten Herrasta-kirjoista. Elokuva kertoo kuvataiteilijasta, joka saa uskomattoman idean!

GOLDBERRY (2011) is my first short film I made in Tampere University of Applied Sciences and it was made in same spirit as Cliché; It was also a practical work where I had to do everything by myself. So again I produced, directed, filmed, edited etc. And I made that bodypainting which is on the movie.
The idea of Goldberry came to me from J.R.R. Tolkies book The Lord of the Rings. The movie tells a story of a visual artist who gets an incredible idea!

KESÄKONDIKSEEN (2011)

KESÄKONDIKSEEN (2011) on toinen Uneton48-kilpailuun tehty lyhytelokuva, jossa oltiin liikkeellä oikeastaan samalla porukalla kuin aikaisemmassakin. Tässä elokuvassa olin kuvaajana ja maskeeraajana, joskin muistelen että työnkuvat menivät elokuvan tekovaiheessa taas jotenkin solmuun. Elokuva kertoo kahdesta nuoresta naisesta, joista toinen luulee tulevansa hulluksi alettuaan unohdella asioita.

KESÄKONDIKSEEN (2011) (To the summer shape?) is my second Uneton48 (The Ultimate Filmmaking Challenge where you have to make a movie within 48 hours) short movie and we made it with almost the same team as we did the first one. In this short movie I was a cinematographer and a make up artist. Although if I remember correctly those jobs changed a little during the process. This movie tells a story of two women. One of them thinks she's going crazy by forgetting things.

UUSI AAMU (2010)

UUSI AAMU (2010) on ensimmäinen Uneton48-kilpailutyö johon osallistuin kolmen hengen miniporukalla. Olin elokuvassa vastuussa äänistä, mutta en nyt kykene muistamaan kuinka paljon ääniä oikeasti sain aikaan. Lopputuloksesta päätellen en juuri lainkaan. Minut on kreditoitu myös käsikirjoittamisesta, samoin kuin muutkin tiimimme jäsenet. Elokuva kertoo miehestä, joka on menettänyt rakkaansa.
En voi sanoa olevani enää kovin ylpeä lopputuloksesta, mutta ainakin voin sanoa kehittyneeni noista päivistä!

THE NEW MORNING (2010) is my first Uneton48 (The Ultimate Filmmaking Challenge where you have to make a movie within 48 hours) short movie and in our team there was only 3 people. I was in charge of voices but I have no idea how much audio I actually got done. Depending on film, not so much. I was also credited of writing our script but so was the rest of the team too. Our shortie tells a story of a man who has lost love of his life.
I can't say I'm very proud of this film but at least I can say I've learn something since those days!

TUNNE VIRTA LÄVITSENI (2010)

TUNNE VIRTA LÄVITSENI oli ensimmäinen lyhytelokuva, jossa toimin ohjaajana. Hoidin myös tuotantopäällikön hommia. Elokuva kertoo nuoresta miehestä, joka etsii jonkinlaista yhteyttä tunteisiinsa. Elokuva oli Clichén tavoin koulumme harjoitustyö.

TUNNE VIRTA LÄVITSENI (Feel it inside?) was my first short movie which I directed and I was also a production manager. This movie tells a story of a young man who tries to find some connections with his feelings. Like Cliché this was also a practical work for school.

CLICHÉ (2009)

CLICHÉ on ensimmäinen lyhytelokuvani, jonka tein vuonna 2009. Se perustuu roolipeliin ja kertoo nuoren muusikon riippuvuudesta. Tämä elokuva oli silloisen kouluni harjoitustyö ja tein käytännössä kaiken itse. Ohjasin, kuvasin, tuotin, leikkasin jne. Näyttelijät olivat silloisia koulukavereitani.
(Näin neljän vuoden jälkeen voin ilolla todeta että pystyn nykyään niin paljon parempaan.)

CLICHÉ is my first short movie and I made it in 2009. It is based on RPG and it tells a story of a young musician who has a drug addiction. This shortie whas my schools practical work and I did everything by myself. I directed, filmed, produced, edited etc. Actors were friends from school.
(After four years I'm happy to say I can do a lot better movie today as I did back then!)
